Black YaYa earrings

This special pair of one-off earrings feature beautiful glossy Tasmanian Black Spinel, found in Weldborough in the North East of the state.
This stone is highly reflective when faceted. If you find these when you're fossicking, it's a good indication that there are sapphires close by. It has a hardness just under Sapphires, and in my opinion it is seriously underrated.

Setting is sterling silver with hand stamped patina on brass. Sterling silver ear hooks and silk tassels.

Included with these earrings is a pair of silicone backs that slide up against the lobe to keep earrings securely in your ears no matter how hard you dance. Transferable to other earrings so you'll never end up with an earring that's lost its friend.
